Audubon Draw

Posted below is the draw for Audubon.

The committee is so excited to host a new rodeo this year!

Contestants will park in the infield of their track, but if you spend the night, you MUST be out by 8 am Sunday morning because they have to prep for tractor pulls.

There will be a hospitality tent for contestants in the infield of the track until they run out. Please visit with the committee and thank them for their hard work.

We’ll see you tomorrow night!

Decorah Draw

Border Battle Event 2 is in Decorah, Iowa on Wednesday, July 14th.

Contestants will park in the track infield. The Winneshiek Co Fair sells buttons for their grandstand events – buttons are $30. We talked with the rodeo committee and here’s what they decided. Each contestant will get in free – and they’ll get one buddy in for free – anyone else in the truck will have to pay. Good news – they will only charge the “extras” $15 instead of the $30, but you may have to watch from the infield. Just a heads up so everyone’s aware that they were willing to make changes for our contestants’ families.

Here’s the unofficial draw – please check the one posted at the rodeo as well.

If any changes need to be made, please call me ASAP!

2021 Iowa Horse Fair Draw

IT’S RODEO WEEK! I hope everyone is as excited as we are to get the season started!

The Iowa Horse Fair Crew has worked very hard this year to host a great event, even though they are still limited on seats. I will have wristbands for contestants and members of either the IRCA or URA will get a wristband for their buddy. Beyond that, please plan on purchasing a ticket for the rest of the family / buddies.

Don’t forget health papers (for your horses) are required and they will be checking them on Dean Avenue before you enter the grounds.

I’ve been told the road coming to the fairgrounds from the South (East 30th St) is closed south of Dean Avenue and the detour isn’t the best for trucks/trailers, so it’s probably best to come to the Fairgrounds via University Avenue (aka Hwy 163) and then south onto East 30th St, then east on Dean Avenue. From there, they will check your health papers and direct you to parking. Parking is a small lot and there will be other events on the grounds with the Horse Fair other than the rodeo, so please be respectful and park where rodeo contestants are directed.

Order of Events:

Bareback
Steer Wrestling
Breakaway Roping
Saddle Bronc
ACT
Mini Bulls and Ponies
Calf Roping / O40
Team Roping
Trick Riding
Barrels
Bulls

Fees:
BB / SB / BR – $69
BAR / CR / SW – $89
TR – $81
GBR – $76
(Includes $10 barn charge)
Non member fee – $20

$400 added per event
IRCA / URA
