We welcome you to our Hometown Rodeo! The Albia Chamber Main Street will have a hospitality tent for contestants that includes drinks and snacks. New this year, they will be offering chair massages from 4pm-5pm and free haircuts from 5pm-6pm!

Iowa Horse Fair Rodeo
March 24-25, 2023
Iowa State Fairgrounds – Jacobson Building

Remember your health papers and negative Coggins.

There are no overnight tie-outs. If you need a stall, contact Brenda Irlbeck.

The State Vet will be in the Rock Island Lot on the south side of
Dean Avenue. After that, you’ll be directed to parking (same lot – East of the
Cattle Barn).

The Rodeo Office will be in the glass-faced office on the WEST end of
the Jacobson. You will have to enter through the doors on the WEST end
to get to the Rodeo Office to pay fees and get your wristband and buddy pass.
After that, you’ll be able to go anywhere in the building!

Please remember we are working with the Iowa Horse Council, who puts on
the Iowa Horse Fair and they lease out the facilities. The Iowa State Fairgrounds
staff are the ones manning the doors. They are not affiliated with the Iowa Horse
Fair and are only doing their jobs. Please come to the Rodeo Office and get your
wristband before trying to look at your steer or get in the arena.
